In the 27th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Chitarroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Cristiano Chitarroni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 75th minute. Colombia's Kevin Mastache was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvaro Cirelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 78 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Støle came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 83rd minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Paolo Cannavaro made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Paolo Cannavaro in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Colombia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kroton F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
