Artūrs Sagalats started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Artūrs Sagalats notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SK Annenieki defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jānis Lielais. The SK Annenieki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jānis Lielais should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jāzeps Pics sent off a good shot on target. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jānis Lielais having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jānis Lielais having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indris Tomass, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. SK Annenieki's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SK Annenieki's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SK Annenieki's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jānis Lielais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. If Jāzeps Pics had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Renāts Skipors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jānis Lielais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The SK Annenieki fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when SK Annenieki's Artūrs Sagalats looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artūrs Sagalats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Reinholds Jaunzems shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. SK Annenieki made a substitution. Vilis Lettlands replaced Indris Tomass. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artūrs Sagalats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Santis Krūzītis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Annenieki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jānis Lielais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jāzeps Pics, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jāzeps Pics scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Artūrs Sagalats notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SK Annenieki were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
