An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 8th minute of play forced Ravenclaw F. C.'s goalkeeper André Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilvan Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Ravenclaw F. C. were awarded a corner. Bruno Cortez went to the cornerflag to take it. Bruno Cortez made a great header on Ravenclaw F. C.'s corner, it was just that Paraguay's Jacobo Nores managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21st minute, Paraguay's Iker Tafalla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iker Tafalla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paraguay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iker Tafalla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paraguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Zonta scored 2-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilvan Zonta in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gilvan Zonta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Ravenclaw F. C.'s Gilvan Zonta got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Zonta in the 43rd minute of play. When Gilvan Zonta fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ravenclaw F. C.'s protests and gave Gilvan Zonta a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Ravenclaw F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Zonta. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Gilvan Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Eduardo Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The throw-in from Bruno Cortez in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Alan Campos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Zonta in the 68th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gilvan Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Taffarel. André Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Gilvan Zonta took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Gilvan Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Gilvan Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Zonta in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio got a free kick in the 91st minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ravenclaw F. C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Paraguay for much of the match.
