When Daniel Rolado fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centeno's protests and gave Daniel Rolado a yellow card for diving instead. Eustaquio Quinten kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benigno Gabrio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Hector Covarrubias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Benigno Gabrio in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 29 in the game by Jaime Pardo from a close distance when the talented Benigno Gabrio managed to make a qualified save. Centeno's players were relieved. Santo Seguinus's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Seguinus helped the player get up and apologised. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Pardos short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Benigno Gabrio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Benigno Gabrio made a huge save. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Diego Tenorio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hector Covarrubias struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Benigno Gabrio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. 43 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Centeno's Benigno Gabrio. Benigno Gabrio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Rolado made the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Ivan Prats with Jaime Pardo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Benigno Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 55th minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benigno Gabrio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Diego Tenorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Benigno Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Primitivo Escribano in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Gabrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, Centeno's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Benigno Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benigno Gabrio. Centeno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Covarrubias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 71st minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Benigno Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Centeno's Benigno Gabrio. Benigno Gabrio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benigno Gabrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benigno Gabrio. Benigno Gabrio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Jaime Pardo scored 9-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Gabrio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Hector Covarrubias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Gabrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Paraguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
