Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes KKS Magines got a freekick which was hit by Karol Kalinowski. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grzegorz Michnik couldn't finish the play.
