In the 12th match minute, River Gold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Virila to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in River Gold's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulista came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River Gold's João Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 16th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulista having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, River Gold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Virila to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Gold fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Tomas Illescas sped through River Gold's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Paulista. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Jose Correa put in a rough tackle. River Gold made a substitution. Dante Ugutz replaced Aristides Bartuelo. The goalkeeper, Jonathan Ferrant, was totally fooled by River Gold's Dante Ugutz, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

River Gold's Felipe Clemencin was substituted for Rodolfo Cordarius. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. Bartlomiej Lichniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's attentive Patricio Costa managed to snatch the ball when Felix Virila made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Lichniak in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartlomiej Lichniak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
