Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Enström in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Rickard Göransson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 82 minutes into the match, Helge Kullander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Helge Kullander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. 85 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Sven-Arne Tunström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Ahlin came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
