After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Fokke Bergman in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sipke Oosting, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fokke Bergman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute.
