Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vito Areta kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taltum FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Jesus came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristobal Jesus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes, Taltum FC's Ricardo Velarroa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taltum FC reached it. Cristobal Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Taltum FC's Mellington Aniego got a free kick in the 26th minute. Cristobal Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Taltum FC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Berinduaga. In the 33rd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Jesus skillfully saved the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristobal Jesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristobal Jesus. The goal made the score 0-6. After having played for 60 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iza Orejo to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristobal Jesus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Taltum FC's Cristobal Jesus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Taltum FC from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristobal Jesus. The goal made the score 0-7. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Jesus having to make a save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cristobal Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Jesus. Cristobal Jesus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. After some careless play in the Taltum FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristobal Jesus. The Taltum FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Jesus should have stopped the shot. Taltum FC's Cristobal Jesus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Taltum FC from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iza Orejo to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 94th minute of play forced Taltum FC's goalkeeper Cristobal Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Taltum FC and deserved their victory. The Taltum FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
