The referee ignored CRUSADERS's protests and gave Jonny Gustavsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Jonny Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olov Stenström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jonny Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Vallgren in the 24th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Alfredo Ferrant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Vallgren in the 88th minute. Julio Chicote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Alfonso de la Cruz off the ground. The supporters of CRUSADERS booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
