The supporters of Paraguay booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Charles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Gilespie in the 29th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stevie McGilvray made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Ivan Prats. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Charles to maneuver through the defense. Fergus Fairbairn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rangers FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Paraguay had controlled the match.
