Valer Boteanu was slow to take the kick. During this time GONDWONALAND's players had a chance to rest. GONDWONALAND's Grigoriy Avrutov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigoriy Avrutov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Pereira's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Léo Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. Léo Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Pereira in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Valer Boteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Léo Pereira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Léo Pereira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valer Boteanu made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Valer Boteanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigoriy Avrutov having to interfere. Valer Boteanu took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 60 minutes into the match, GONDWONALAND's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Grigoriy Avrutov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Målare in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Pereira came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to GONDWONALAND getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Bruno Chayo hit a great ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Målare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Sosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After 93 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Grigoriy Avrutov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Grigoriy Avrutov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. GONDWONALAND's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
