Froilan Abar was slow to take the kick. During this time Limburg United's players had a chance to rest. In the 13th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Van Dijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Limburg United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Froilan Abar in the 25th minute. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sean Van Dijck having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Luca Zorita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 64th playminute. With his leg Sean Van Dijck managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 79th minute of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sean Van Dijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Mexico played a much better game than Limburg United and deserved their victory. The Limburg United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
