Gooitzen Bot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gooitzen Bot in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Wim Valkeneers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lilko Chervenski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Dibra Fc getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hazbi Cane hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play Dibra Fc's Berti Zhulali was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Dibra Fc's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hazbi Cane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lilko Chervenski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dibra Fc's Lilko Chervenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off.
