Marko Meerits was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Marko Meerits tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play forced FC Hiiu Pallurid's goalkeeper Marko Meerits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marko Meerits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, FC Hiiu Pallurid's Vytautas Kalasiūnas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Marko Meerits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Marko Meerits didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Meerits having to interfere. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marko Meerits tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marko Meerits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marko Meerits was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marko Meerits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hiiu Pallurid's goalkeeper Marko Meerits, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC Hiiu Pallurid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After some careless play in the FC Hiiu Pallurid defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Meerits. The FC Hiiu Pallurid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Meerits should have stopped the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Meerits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marko Meerits. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vytautas Kalasiūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Vytautas Kalasiūnas made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merdan Abesadze in the 80th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vytautas Kalasiūnas in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Hiiu Pallurid's Marko Meerits didn't even have to move. Vytautas Kalasiūnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Hiiu Pallurid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julius Talumets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merdan Abesadze in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute FC Hiiu Pallurid were awarded a corner. Helari Naaber went to the cornerflag to take it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Hiiu Pallurid.
