Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Tanti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Tanti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Eleven Young Elephants getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ma Fan hit a great ball. Eleven Young Elephants's Aaron Tanti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eleven Young Elephants's Vilmos Szikora got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Bueno in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Tanti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Tanti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Felix Montes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Tanti was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The tension between the Eleven Young Elephants and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. António Silva hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Tanti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Aaron Tanti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 48th match minute, Eleven Young Elephants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Silva to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Bueno made a kick off. Fabio Savona struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eleven Young Elephants. It was a well-played corner which Juan Sebastián Puig managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Aaron Tanti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aaron Tanti in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron Tanti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Aaron Tanti made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th match minute, Eleven Young Elephants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Silva to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Eleven Young Elephants getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Zlatko Zahovič hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Carabott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aaron Tanti was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Aaron Tanti. Eleven Young Elephants's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Aaron Tanti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
