A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Gilberto Eleazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volvimos mejores fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Volvimos mejores's Samuel Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When Eloy Bonadona fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Volvimos mejores's protests and gave Eloy Bonadona a yellow card for diving instead. But to his dismay, Eurico Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Volvimos mejores:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Jonathan Ferrant had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Eurico Lima's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eurico Lima showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Gilberto Eleazar came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Volvimos mejores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Eleazar couldn't finish the play. After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 53 minutes into the match, Gilberto Eleazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Eleazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Gilberto Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Volvimos mejores made a substitution. Inocencio Valente replaced Gilberto Eleazar. The supporters of Volvimos mejores booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas lined in a short shot 6-1 behind a frustrated Samuel Asteri. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Valente in the 78th minute of play. Volvimos mejores's Baraquiel Labarra got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Inocencio Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Valente in the 92nd minute of the match.
