With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georgi Velinov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Doychin Karamalkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Doychin Karamalkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georgi Velinov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. After 89 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tzvyatko Shanov who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ПАРТИЗАН Червен бряг's corner Evgeni Kalkandzhiev fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Georgi Velinov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela.
