Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Michel Batistuta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Roman Matai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A collision led to STAL ST WOLA getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Boleslaw Nakoneczny hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Batistuta in the 11th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. Roman Matai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Matai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artaç Hendekli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Bielejewski in the 27th minute of play. After 27 played minutes STAL ST WOLA got a freekick which was hit by Boleslaw Nakoneczny. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Roman Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Matai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Matai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Roman Matai. Michel Batistuta scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roman Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 42nd minute of play. When Boleslaw Nakoneczny fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STAL ST WOLA's protests and gave Boleslaw Nakoneczny a yellow card for diving instead. Boleslaw Nakoneczny kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roman Matai. The goal made the score 1-2. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Roman Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Roman Matai made a huge save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Roman Matai despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Bielejewski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, STAL ST WOLA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. When Arkadiusz Solecki fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STAL ST WOLA's protests and gave Arkadiusz Solecki a yellow card for diving instead. 90 minutes into the game, one of STAL ST WOLA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roman Matai could save by the left post. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than STAL ST WOLA throughout the match.
