Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sufi Hanönü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panama's Alex Cambeiro suffered a sore thigh after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Hamdullah Kaplan fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ErbaA KartaLı's protests and gave Hamdullah Kaplan a yellow card for diving instead. Panama's Oscar Laguna was substituted for Alex Cambeiro. A collision led to ErbaA KartaLı getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jarbas Dias hit a great ball. Dylan Sarmiento's late challenge caught a ErbaA KartaLı's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Sarmiento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdullah Kaplan in the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ErbaA KartaLı's Abdullatif Zafer got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sufi Hanönü showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ErbaA KartaLı's Sufi Hanönü. Sufi Hanönü was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ErbaA KartaLı's Sufi Hanönü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Panama were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sufi Hanönü. Jose Carita made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ErbaA KartaLı's Josip Schetelig. ErbaA KartaLı's attentive Seçkin Bayındır managed to snatch the ball when Jose Carita made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Hamdullah Kaplan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
