In the 24th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, ②Θ►LΘCΘ◄Θ⑨'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dagoberto Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Bentkowski in the 89th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, ②Θ►LΘCΘ◄Θ⑨'s goalkeeper Dagoberto Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
