Victor Eliazar's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Eliazar helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Eliazar kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes ARGENTINOS.J got a freekick which was hit by Guo Yuan Ting. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Damian Alvarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Guo Yuan Ting sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in ARGENTINOS.J's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Gago came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Damian Alvarez fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ARGENTINOS.J's protests and gave Damian Alvarez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when ARGENTINOS.J was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guo Yuan Ting got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ARGENTINOS.J's Rodolfo Gago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 30th minute of play. Damian Alvarez got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to ARGENTINOS.J getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Damian Alvarez hit a great ball. Rodolfo Gago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Guo Yuan Ting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Honduras booed when ARGENTINOS.J was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Ellande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Gago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guo Yuan Ting stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, ARGENTINOS.J's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmundo Espiga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Oto, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Guo Yuan Ting managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARGENTINOS.J's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guo Yuan Ting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. ARGENTINOS.J's Guo Yuan Ting got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ARGENTINOS.J's Rodolfo Gago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 80th minute of play. When Victor Eliazar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Victor Eliazar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Gago didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Gago saved ARGENTINOS.J from getting behind. Rodolfo Gago was a little too slow when Edmundo Espiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-4.
