In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Guido Bautista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Guido Bautista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Dolfos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Isidoro Dolfos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Dolfos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Dolfos saved Club Almirante Brown from getting behind. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of the match. Oscar Abascal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Bautista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Dolfos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Guido Bautista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 60th play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Isidoro Dolfos and just under the crossbar into goal. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Aristides Rayman replaced Wilfredo Segio. When Aristides Rayman fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Almirante Brown's protests and gave Aristides Rayman a yellow card for diving instead. Isidoro Dolfos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Bautista might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Bautista ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Bautista in the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Isidoro Dolfos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Club Almirante Brown's Aristides Rayman got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Aristides Rayman off the ground. A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aristides Rayman hit a great ball. Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of play. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Club Almirante Brown were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
