Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd minute Diederik Temmerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, 孔磊傲 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Brugge's supporters rose to their feet, but 孔磊傲 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. King Eken might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. King Eken ran back to his position shaking his head. King Eken scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. 孔磊傲 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Stein Spoelberch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孔磊傲, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Brugge's Diederik Temmerman. But to his dismay, Diederik Temmerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.
