Joshua Curbelo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Bälinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Svensson to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Bälinge's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Viggo Simonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes, Joshua Curbelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Bälinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Viggo Simonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Bälinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Beckström didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Jakobsson made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Orvar Lundblad. The referee gave Bälinge a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dan Jakobsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. 1-0. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Hansson. In the 45th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Yepes charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Yepes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Hansson in the 56th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Hansson in the 62nd minute of play. After 76 played minutes Bälinge got a freekick which was hit by Michael Svensson. In the 77th minute, Joshua Curbelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. During the 86th minute of the match Joshua Curbelo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joshua Curbelo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Bälinge's Börje Låsberg got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Bälinge's goalkeeper Viggo Simonsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. A collision led to Bälinge getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Jan-Åke Soned hit a great ball. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 101st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bälinge's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
