He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miromir Lichorobiec in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Herbert Walczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Herbert Walczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herbert Walczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Walczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Miromir Lichorobiec notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herbert Walczyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Shaolin soccer got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florian Buczak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Florian Buczak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. If Miromir Lichorobiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Lichorobiec in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Miromir Lichorobiec tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Kryspin Krzynowek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Kryspin Krzynowek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wlodzimierz Osielski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miromir Lichorobiec's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Miromir Lichorobiec recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Miromir Lichorobiec showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After 71 played minutes Shaolin soccer got a freekick which was hit by Kryspin Krzynowek. Wlodzimierz Osielski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Shaolin soccer booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Shaolin soccer fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Shaolin soccer's Herbert Walczyk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Miromir Lichorobiec kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 0-6 in the 95 minute of play.
