With an all-out effort, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fausto Romero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 10 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Romero came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Evaristo Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 17th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Marquez Padolles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvaro Rudolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Gargasz. 21 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Alvaro Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 30th minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, Colombia's Santino Seco made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Rudolfo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Alvaro Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the game Pedrinho Godoi made a throw-in which Evaristo Montenegro played forward. Alvaro Rudolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 46th minute of the match. Evaristo Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedrinho Godoi, made in the 56th minute of the game. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Rudolfo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 minutes, Axel Montenegro made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abram Sarmiento during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Abram Sarmiento. The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. 67 minutes into the game, Artur Laguna threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Samuel Navarro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 74 minutes into the game, Marquez Padolles threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alvaro Rudolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 76th minute of play. Toninho Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Evaristo Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Romero's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Fausto Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Romero in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Mastache hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Marquez Padolles made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Coritiba Foot Ball Club.
