Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Polidori came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. 4 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of XMAS's Armando Polidori. Armando Polidori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute XMAS were awarded a corner. Ferruccio Cesaroni went to the cornerflag to take it. Ferruccio Cesaroni made a great header on XMAS's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 11th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Alberigo Gianfrancesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes, Ernesto Minichiello made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Alberigo Gianfrancesco took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.

54 minutes into the game, XMAS's Ernesto Minichiello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Armando Polidori made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. In the 58thth minute of the game Ernesto Minichiello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Ernesto Minichiello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, XMAS's Ferruccio Cesaroni broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. During the 70th minute of the match Abel Carballo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Abel Carballo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 71 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Christian Zaccardi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Armando Polidori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio De Nardis in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Minichiello during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute Alberigo Gianfrancesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferruccio Cesaroni hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that XMAS were the better team. XMAS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
