The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. James Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of play. Toninho Guerreiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. The supporters of SiTomanBoy´s booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SiTomanBoy´s's James Novak got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
