Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Bowden. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vlad Tudose was slow to take the kick. During this time Selebi-Phikwe's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Vlad Tudose almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Abid Bubalo sent off a good shot on target. Johnathan Bowden might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnathan Bowden ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Bowden. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes Selebi-Phikwe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Thidén to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnathan Bowden to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Johnathan Bowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 59th minute of play. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Selebi-Phikwe from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Johnathan Bowden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Johnathan Bowden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute, Rafael Gallo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christof Deroek. The goal made the score 2-1. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Selebi-Phikwe were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
