Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) USA's Cassius Byrne started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Wiliam Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Tepedino in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by CJ Asensio. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Los Trip's Bruno Capello came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Marco Day had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Los Trip were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fausto Gauargi took the corner. Los Trip's Fausto Gauargi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. USA's Monty Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Capello in the 32nd minute. After 36 minutes, Arsenio Perutxo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. USA's Marco Day tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 39th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Los Trip's Marco Day threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiliam Tepedino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arsenio Perutxo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Arsenio Perutxo made the kick off in the second half. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jenson Smith, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Wiliam Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Cassius Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cassius Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Trip's Cipriano Castro was substituted for Wiliam Tepedino. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fausto Gauargi was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Trip's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fausto Gauargi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Day quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cassius Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustín Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, USA's Monty Rogers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 81st minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Monty Rogers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Khalid Parry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los Trip throughout the match.
