Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Eliseo Mina made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Tang Qian Xiong. Roy Makaay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's William Lucas got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Nenko Reza. Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Tang Qian Xiong got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eduardo Angulo. 33 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nenko Reza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Nenko Reza. Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 38th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute of the match Peru got a corner. Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nenko Reza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Edmund Wawrukiewicz hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Guo Ao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kıraç Uskan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 66th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru had played much better football throughout.
