Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cassius Byrne took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marco Day was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abid Bubalo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 3rd minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Bowden. Johnathan Bowden scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 13th minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe's attentive Victor Lundqvist managed to snatch the ball when Raphael Moore made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Abid Bubalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Selebi-Phikwe were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vlad Tudose took the corner. After taking down the ball on Selebi-Phikwe's corner Vlad Tudose fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathan Bowden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. Johnathan Bowden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes Selebi-Phikwe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. After 38 minutes of play, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Johnathan Bowden got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johnathan Bowden made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johnathan Bowden in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnathan Bowden in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raphael Moore hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 60th minute of play. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 61st minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathan Bowden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Vlad Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute Johnathan Bowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Johnathan Bowden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Christof Deroek made a huge save. In the 84th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlad Tudose kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Vlad Tudose hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Christof Deroek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Bowden came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Selebi-Phikwe support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
