In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orla Haxmark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Robert Brænden made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Orla Haxmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Sebastián Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Beliran in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orla Haxmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Orla Haxmark made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arribeños Sur fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of play forced Arribeños Sur's goalkeeper Orla Haxmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arribeños Sur's Orla Haxmark proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Arribeños Sur from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orla Haxmark. That made the score 1-3 after 71 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orla Haxmark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Arribeños Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Ubelteso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orla Haxmark made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Arribeños Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Orla Haxmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Brænden in the 92nd minute of play. Orla Haxmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the match, Arribeños Sur's goalkeeper Orla Haxmark had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
