Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Soveral having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, BENFICA UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tomé Soveral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Douglas Costa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 16th minute, Tiago Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BENFICA UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Zé Augusto Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Soveral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomé Soveral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of the match. When Ramiro Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BENFICA UNITED's protests and gave Ramiro Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes BENFICA UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Travassos. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Tomé Soveral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Ignacio Ioritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ecuador were furious when Primitivo Andino was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! The referee gave BENFICA UNITED a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Porfírio Chagas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 3-0. Zé Augusto Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Augusto Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BENFICA UNITED fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Daniel Zorita walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Agustín Saelices blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomé Soveral having to make a save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Domingues's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, BENFICA UNITED's Ádám Lang got a free kick in the 86th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tomé Soveral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Soveral was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Tomé Soveral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 91st minute. Anderson Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, BENFICA UNITED could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
