Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Niki Bundev came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Yala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niki Bundev couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurids Grejsen in the 9th minute of the match. In the 9th play minute Laurids Grejsen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Yala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner ended in Jonathan Venegas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yala's Zeledon Curcio did a great save. 13 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Curcio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Freddy Valentine struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yala. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Curcio having to interfere. Niki Bundev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Freddy Valentine tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Niki Bundev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niki Bundev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 minutes of play, Yala's Niki Bundev made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Freddy Valentine made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niki Bundev went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After 57 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Feo. 63 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Valentine came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Valentine, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niki Bundev in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Laurids Grejsen notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Santiago Feo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. After 78 minutes of play, Yala's Alberto Jaunti made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Jaunti, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Curcio having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
