The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Radiohead Freaks Club's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayo Mario in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thom Threepwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Cayo Mario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play forced Radiohead Freaks Club's goalkeeper Thom Threepwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kendall Roy kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayo Mario, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Cayo Mario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Noe Seedorf fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 46th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Thom Threepwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute of play. Radiohead Freaks Club's Thom Threepwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Thom Threepwood in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Axel Montenegro sped through Radiohead Freaks Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thom Threepwood. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Radiohead Freaks Club's Thom Threepwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Radiohead Freaks Club from getting a goal against them. Cayo Mario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Cayo Mario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
