Laurita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Kinsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnulfo Kinsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 13th minute of the match. Arnulfo Kinsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Arnulfo Kinsen was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Mario Alberto Kempes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Laurita FC made a substitution. Filip Ikalewicz replaced Bernardino Ofelio. In the 96th minute Joaquin Prats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurita FC's Arnulfo Kinsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Laurita FC from getting a goal against them.
