Douglas Fowler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Douglas Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. In the 88th minute, Amund Gjerstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Fowler skillfully saved the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Douglas Fowler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, FC Pladask's Amund Gjerstad got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Pladask throughout the match.
