In the 9th minute, Anton Rubáš ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pardubice Hurricanes's goalkeeper Přemek Ouředník, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoslav Plašil, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Přemek Ouředník read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Přemek Ouředník having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Přemek Ouředník in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Xavier Figueroa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After the first half Pardubice Hurricanes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítek Bittner was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Přemek Ouředník saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Přemek Ouředník didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítek Bittner. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jakub Molnár fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pardubice Hurricanes's protests and gave Jakub Molnár a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chile booed when Pardubice Hurricanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Molnár didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Přemek Ouředník saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Přemek Ouředník was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Guillermo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Přemek Ouředník. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Přemek Ouředník. Pardubice Hurricanes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Přemek Ouředník came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pardubice Hurricanes's goalkeeper Přemek Ouředník, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Přemek Ouředník showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of the match. Pardubice Hurricanes's Radoslav Plašil was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pardubice Hurricanes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chile.
