Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) A.J. Hanks started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Uruguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Louis Escobedo scored to the left of an out of position Joaquin Gayoso, making the score, 1-0. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Aquilino Rameriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Blalock made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dexter Ogden immediately put the ball in play. In the 20th minute of the match, Bernie Waldron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquin Gayoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Maximiliano Escribano fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Maximiliano Escribano a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. When A.J. Hanks came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Houston Fire F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that A.J. Hanks couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Rameriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquilino Rameriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Weston Lemon during the 33rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. With a little luck, Houston Fire F.C.'s Aquilino Rameriz got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Jonathan Blalock threw the ball into play from the sideline. Aquilino Rameriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Houston Fire F.C.'s Aquilino Rameriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 78th minute of play. Houston Fire F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
