An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced BiBa's goalkeeper Kai-Uwe Bartek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BiBa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Steckamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kai-Uwe Bartek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Densill 李天剑 in the 39th minute of play. Densill 李天剑's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BiBa. Kai-Uwe Bartek made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kai-Uwe Bartek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Kai-Uwe Bartek. BiBa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 94th match minute, BiBa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Steckamp to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
