The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Covarrubias got free with Ferenc Döbrögi in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jaime Pardo sped through Bayern München FC.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ferenc Döbrögi. After having played for 14 minutes, Sámuel Polgár managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayern München FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sámuel Polgár was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferenc Döbrögi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Hector Covarrubias made a precise shot to the right of Ferenc Döbrögi. Bayern München FC.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 20th minute of the game Juan Diego Tenorio made a throw-in which Primitivo Escribano played forward. Ferenc Döbrögi made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Bayern München FC.'s Ferenc Döbrögi got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bayern München FC.'s Tibor Pálfi got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Bayern München FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koppány Rácz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferenc Döbrögi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 33rd minute of play. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 36th minute of play forced Bayern München FC.'s goalkeeper Ferenc Döbrögi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ferenc Döbrögi, 4-0. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Primitivo Escribano took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Ferenc Döbrögi to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferenc Döbrögi. Bayern München FC.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Covarrubias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zsolt Pataki to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferenc Döbrögi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bayern München FC.'s Ferenc Döbrögi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bayern München FC.'s zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferenc Döbrögi came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th match minute, Bayern München FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Pálfi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bayern München FC.'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferenc Döbrögi came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferenc Döbrögi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 72nd minute of play forced Bayern München FC.'s goalkeeper Ferenc Döbrögi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bayern München FC. defense, Alan Campos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferenc Döbrögi. The Bayern München FC. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferenc Döbrögi should have stopped the shot. Bayern München FC.'s Ferenc Döbrögi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pardo in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferenc Döbrögi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferenc Döbrögi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Paraguay got a corner. Bayern München FC.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Juan Diego Tenorio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ferenc Döbrögi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. But to his dismay, Hector Covarrubias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. In the 91st minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Döbrögi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 96th minute of play forced Bayern München FC.'s goalkeeper Ferenc Döbrögi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
