COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Gordon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Facundo Cadaval's late challenge caught a COPERNICUS TORUŃ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Facundo Cadaval helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordon Horgan having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lorenzo Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Mancebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahsin Atacan in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Damiano Moriggi got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tahsin Atacan to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Artuir Ramsey came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gordon Horgan made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Gordon Horgan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lorenzo Cazalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Olgun Oktay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 68th minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gordon Horgan saved COPERNICUS TORUŃ from getting behind. After 79 played minutes COPERNICUS TORUŃ got a freekick which was hit by Bradner McCready. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Olgun Oktay came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Gordon Horgan got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gordon Horgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The COPERNICUS TORUŃ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
