When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Gu Zhan Cheng made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes in the game, Kevin Mastache fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rodriguinho Sousa having to interfere.
