The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Rolando Noboa in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodriguinho Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milagros Fraga went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Rolando Noboa in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gu Zhan Cheng quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Gayoso, made in the 25th minute of the game. Gu Zhan Cheng hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Deilmison van Basten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deilmison van Basten was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emmanuel Reyes got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Milagros Fraga. Gaétan Govou kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Deilmison van Basten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ATHLETICO PRaiano.
