Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Berntzen in the 71st minute of the match. With his leg Theo Machado managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Berntzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Holand went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Λstral Villains FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
