Radoslav Plašil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítek Bittner in the 6th minute of the match. Ervín Brázda hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Vítek Bittner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pardubice Hurricanes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pardubice Hurricanes. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítek Bittner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Svatomír Krajíček charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svatomír Krajíček the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jiří Rychtář in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svatomír Krajíček got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pardubice Hurricanes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
