In the 9th match minute, Peace Home Street Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Messias to maneuver through the defense. Kayacan Müjdat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Peace Home Street Boys were awarded a corner. Anísio Matos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Anísio Matos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kayacan Müjdat, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kayacan Müjdat in the 41st minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peace Home Street Boys's Per-Oskar Hedberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when Peace Home Street Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Schiavo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 63rd minute of play forced Peace Home Street Boys's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Hedberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Peace Home Street Boys's Guido Van Hallebeecke got a free kick in the 68th minute. Peace Home Street Boys's Anders Kielberg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. When Verner Wahlnäs came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Peace Home Street Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Verner Wahlnäs couldn't finish the play. Sam Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Hedberg having to interfere. Khalid Parry took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Oskar Hedberg. Per-Oskar Hedberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. USA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
