In the 19th minute Michel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. STAL ST WOLA's Roman Matai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Guillermo Mariano made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to STAL ST WOLA getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Arkadiusz Solecki hit a great ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A hard shot by Artaç Hendekli from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, STAL ST WOLA's Gu Xiao Kun got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Bielejewski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Batistuta's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STAL ST WOLA the free kick. In the 55th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 minutes, Michel Batistuta made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. STAL ST WOLA's Mikolaj Lech managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mikolaj Lech dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Roman Matai made a huge save. After 84 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Batistuta in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Michel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. STAL ST WOLA had won after a very even match.
